Turquoise Mill

In a city known as "The Flour Milling Capital of the World" during the turn of the 20th century and still often referred to as Mill City, it's no surprise that Minneapolis has its share of cool old mills standing around. This is a random one I noticed while biking around the northeast part of town. The turquoise/teal parts of the building really caught my eye. However, it was hard to capture because there are several large buildings and many trees around it. After a quick "the coast is clear" check, I snuck past a gate and into the train yard to snap some quick pictures before being chased off by a rather large unshaved guard in Casey Jones railroad cap, greasy overalls and boots - Perfect!
The mad adventures of a life in art! 😅
